Richard “Richie” A. Schneider, born October 15, 1944 in Flushing Queens, New York, passed away October 2, 2020 in Indiantown, Florida at his home. Richie was a proud Marine with four years of active service and two years reserve duty (1964-1970). Richie then attended trade school and worked as a printer in New York until retiring in 2010. Richie and Caryn moved to Indiantown, FL in 2015.
Richie is preceded in death by Joseph and Adelia Schneider (parents) and Gail Morgan Acuti (sister). Richie is survived by Caryn Essex-Schneider (wife), their cat Peanut (daddy’s girl), Russell (son), Gregory (son), Charlotte (daughter-in-law), Tyler (grandson), Lienne Morgan Hill (niece), Rick Hill (niece’s husband), Kyle Hill (grandnephew) and Zander Hill (grandnephew). Everyone who knew Richie loved him and appreciated having him as part of their life.
There will be a memorial service at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Indiantown on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 5:00pm. The memorial service will also be livestreamed on the Aycock Funeral Home’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/AycockFuneralHomeStuart. A military burial will be scheduled at a later date at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting that donations could be made to either the National Wildlife Federation, The Civil War Preservation Trust or the Marine Corps Toys for Tots.
