Laura Briganti Todzia

Laura is survived by her daughter, Loretta Lewin; son in law, Jordan Lewin; 2 grandchildren, Jaida Danielle and Cooper Lewin; brother, Francis (Frank) Briganti; and sister, Joanne Kelly. She is predeceased by her son, Daniel B. Todzia, and her husband, Daniel P. Todzia.

Laura was born and raised in New Britain, CT. She attended Mount St. Joseph’s Academy in West Hartford, CT, and graduated from Marymount College in Boca Raton, FL. After getting married and briefly living in Reno, NV, Killeen, TX, and Los Angeles, CA, Laura and Dan settled in Stuart, FL in 1973.

She worked in various administrative roles in the hospitality and financial industries while raising their 2 children. Laura and Dan opened Southeast Financial Planning & Consulting in 1985, which they grew into a successful business for over 30 years. She was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister for many years.

Her kindness, generosity and warmth spread to everyone she interacted with, creating a large supportive community of friends and family for whom she enjoyed spending time with.

Through the numerous challenges life presented her, she handled each with strength, optimism, grace, and practicality.

She loved coffee-dates, crime stories, 60s music, Christmas, dessert, and most of all, her grandchildren.

She is already, and will continue to be, dearly missed.
