Joseph Florentine

Joseph C. Florentine of Hobe Sound, FL died suddenly on Jan. 2, 2015. Born in Stamford, CT on September 30, 1938 to the late Samuel and Mary D'Andrea Florentine, he served in the U. S. Navy in the late 1960's after graduating from Stamford High School. He recently retired from the Martin County, FL Sheriff's Department. Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, and by his two daughters: Lisa Florentine (Chris Bartlett) of Weston, CT and Mary Beth Florentine (Paolo Orlando) of Hobe Sound, FL, and granddaughters Madeline Orlando and Jenna, Nicole and Lindsay Bartlett. Also surviving are his two sisters: Marian Florentine of Bayville, NJ and Louise Benisz (Ron) of Union, NJ, three nieces: Jennifer Halloran (Mike) Rachel Benisz and Stephanie Barrett (Edward); a stepdaughter, Tracy Paustian (Bryan); and stepgrandchildren Ian Schauer and Jade Paustian. He also leaves many cousins and friends and will be sadly missed by us all. A viewing will be held on Friday, January 9 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a service to follow at the Aycock Funeral Home, Young & Prill Chapel, 6801 S E Federal Highway, Stuart, Florida.
