Hugh was a long time friend of my family in CT and I visited with him in The Bronx NY and in the town I lived in Ocean Grove NJ. Because Hugh got around. We enjoyed his home on Southport LI many years ago as a treat. He was a jovial and wise and loving friend. I will miss our yearly Christmas catch-up notes.  Hugh was very thoughtful. He just remembered stuff. I’m sorry that he’s gone from here but I’ll look forward to when next we meet wherever that is with a twinkle in our eyes. Much Love. Alvina

Jack's Father and mine were brothers.  As a young child we spent many weekends together.  There was a lot of fun and many laughs with Rosemary and their mom, Mary.  Our first cousin married a German-American girl named Kathy or Cathy.  Their children would have carried the Murphy name.    They were in the New York area.  I'll miss Jack.  We would talk about once a year.  I truly miss Rosemary.  But now I won't have to try to reach him by phone; I'll just pray for him and talk directly!!  God Bless Jack and All of us too.
