Eileen Marie Dayton

Eileen Marie (Hausknecht) Dayton (65), of Stuart, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 23rd, 2023 at her home in Stuart. Eileen was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Toledo, Ohio. Eileen pursued a life dedicated to caring for others as a life flight and NICU nurse. After marrying the love of her life, Peter Dayton in 1985, Eileen and Peter moved to Stuart, Florida where they raised a family and have lived in the Florida sunshine for 38 years. A devoted mother, wife and grandmother, Eileen dedicated her life to raising her daughters and caring for her family. She enjoyed traveling abroad and to air shows with her husband, cooking and enjoying homemade Sunday dinners with family, talking to and laughing with her daughters daily and most of all spending time with her two grandchildren whom she adored. A gentle, loving and kind person, Eileen lived her life for her family and will be missed dearly by all. Eileen is predeceased by her parents Ruth and Charles Hausknecht of Toledo, Ohio, her sister Barbara Rasik of Swanton, Ohio and her father in law William Daniel Dayton. Eileen is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 38 years, Peter Dayton, her brother Edward Hausknecht, sisters Patricia, Kathleen and Joan Hausknecht, her daughters Kendall and Jennifer Dayton, her daughter and son in law Kelloryn and Christopher Kalwa and her cherished grandchildren Erik (8) and Ella Kalwa (5).

A memorial service will be offered at St Mary’s Episcopal Church , 623 SE Ocean Blvd Stuart, Florida on Sunday, October 29th at 2pm, an internment ceremony at St. Mary’s will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Eileen’s honor to the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Choir.
