Dolly Kay Chabot

Born in Mansfield, Ohio on February 25, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Paul A. and Virginia K. (Vannausdle) Detwiler. Dolly grew up in Mansfield where she graduated from Mansfield Senior High in 1958 and also attended college at Ohio State University. For the past 36 years she was a resident of Stuart, Florida coming from Manchester, Vermont. She worked in the dental field for 25 plus years where she retired from Dr. Jerry Krape’s office. Some of the activities she enjoyed in addition to her family were long walks on the beach, dancing, band majorette, volunteering, tennis, reading and spending time with her friends from Vermont and Florida especially, Alice Krenz, her longtime friend of 55 years.

She is survived by her daughter Nicole Chabot Winchip and husband Stephen of Hobe Sound FL; son Marc Chabot and wife Cynthia Dillon of Blowing Rock, NC; and daughter Danielle Chabot and husband Robert Archer of Port St. Lucie FL; grandchildren Kayla Winchip Sheehan (Ben); Amanda Winchip; and Stephen Winchip; great grandchildren Emory, Kellan, and Maeve Sheehan; Cousins Judy (Moser) Ebersole (Dick) of Ohio; Ron Moser (Diane) of Ohio; Jim Mosher (Donna) of Arizona, and Jill Ebersole of Ohio. In-laws, Joyce Chabot; William Chabot (Lucille); Kathy Chabot Newell (Timothy); niece Lynn Chabot; and nephews Bill and Barry Chabot of New York; Christopher Newell of New York, Eric Newell of Boston, MA., and Mark Newell of Chicago, IL.

Dolly was predeceased in death by her husband of 50 years, Leaond Alfred Chabot in February 2011.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 623 E. Ocean Blvd. Stuart, FL on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 1pm. Funeral arrangements are under the directions of Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, FL.
