Barbara J. Susdorf

Barbara Jean (Beberstein) Susdorf (90), passed away on May 1, 2020 at her home in Stuart, Florida, with her husband of 41 years, Robert Susdorf, and her daughter, Gretchen (Flightner) Scott by her side. They had just celebrated her 90th birthday on April 27th, along with her son, Peter Flightner.

She was the daughter of Herbert Beberstein and Mary (Mlecko) Beberstein of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was a graduate of Northside High School (Fort Wayne), and DePauw University (Greencastle, IN) where she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma. She taught at Adams Elementary School in Fort Wayne as well as in Falls Church, VA when her first husband was stationed in Washington, DC.

She was a faithful member of Bethany Presbyterian Church and Blackhawk Baptist Churches in Fort Wayne and the Palm City Presbyterian Church in Palm City, Florida, where she resided since 1999.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, her 2 children, Gretchen and Peter (both of Naples, FL), 4 stepdaughters, Pam (Susdorf) Clevenger (Howell, MI), Joan (Susdorf) Stucka (Boulder CO), Donna Susdorf (Ogden UT), Janet Susdorf (Ozark, MO), 10 Step-grandchildren, Joshua Clevenger, Sarah (Clevenger) Haupt, Rachel Clevenger, Ryan Stucka, Natalie Stucka, Tricia (Scott) Sosa, Mark Messmer, Christian Pluntz, Jenna Pluntz, Cory Chadwick and 2 Step-greatgrandchildren who will all miss her greatly.

She will be buried in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Fort Wayne. Arrangements for a memorial service in Palm City, FL will be made at a different date.
