1929 - 2023
It is with saddened hearts that we must announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother, Virginia May McCullough at the age of 93 years.
Virginia leaves to mourn her passing her sons Brad and Mark as well as her daughter Colleen. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great, and great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband Richard; her parents Archie and Margaret Gibson and by her two brothers Gordon and James Gibson.
Virginia was quite a sports fan and loved to play golf with “her girls” every chance she could. She was a staunch Oilers fan and never missed watching a game and hollering every time they scored! She was quite a character and became the first female school bus driver in the County of Parkland back in the late 60’s. She loved to ski and snowmobile all winter long. She worked at CFRN for 30 years and was well loved and respected by all who met her there. Her and Brad became quite well known for all the practical jokes we played on dad…poor dad.
Mom loved her Lord and today is celebrating in Heaven with many loved ones, and we are celebrating along with her today.
We were truly blessed by her presence and privileged to have known and loved such a kind, generous, self-sacrificing Lady.
A Memorial Service will be held for Virginia at Muir Lake Alliance Church on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
