Vera Hausauer (nee Eby) of Edmonton, AB, formerly of Ferintosh, AB, peacefully passed away in the presence of her children at Stony Plain Care Center, Stony Plain, Alberta, on August 17, 2023, aged 97 years. She was predeceased by her parents Oliver and Louise (nee Oberholtzer) Eby, sister N. Ruth Weiss and daughter Kaye Cherneski. She will be dearly missed by her children June (Jim) Finlay, Eby George (Debbie) Hausauer and Carol Wolfe; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins and friends.
Vera lead an active life, playing tennis and table tennis, dancing and bowling into her early 90’s. She was active in community organizations and was a school trustee for 9 years.
