Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late Stephen and Catherine (O’Leary) Quinn.
Stephen’s career as a First-Class Power Engineer in the pulp and paper industry brought him from one end of the country to the other. With each move he cherished the many friendships he made and loved to stay connected. After retirement, he moved back to New Brunswick and recently moved to Alberta to be closer to his children out west.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Guitard), his daughters Keri (Martin), Stephanie (Cameron), Leslie (Björn), his grandchildren, Tasha, Zak, Quinn, Bryce, Cassidy, Emily, and Alexa and one great-grandchild Elijah. He also leaves behind his sisters, Paula (Vince), Lourdes (Kenny), brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Stephen was predeceased by his father Stephen, mother Catherine, brothers David and Larry, and sister Kathy.
We will miss Stephen’s sense of humor, his love of politics, and his uncanny ability to find out someone’s life story within minutes of meeting them.
To honor Stephen’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to celebrate his memory with a cold pint of beer while listening to an Irish jig. We know that he will be with us in spirit.
