Beth will be lovingly remembered by her children Ken (Lucia), Beverly (Rod McKeen), Kelly (Charlene) and Lyle (Deborah); her 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren as well as numerous relatives and countless friends.
Beth was predeceased by her husband Mel in 1999 as well as her son Richard in 2016.
Born in Edmonton, Beth started from very humble roots and raised the family in the Delton Community where she was a pivotal founding member.
Beth worked for Edmonton Public Schools for many years as a secretary. Life was busy with volunteering, Lake Eden, camping, gardening, curling, wintering in California and traveling. She was named Mother of the Year in 1973 in recognition of all her work for the community.
After relocating to Spruce Grove, her volunteering continued with St. Andrews United Church, the Thrift Store, Horizon Theatre, the Bissel Centre, Soul Sisters and line dancing. She still found time to play countless card games with her dear friends.
We are losing a truly loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, dear friend and compassionate soul.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 18, 2024 at St. Andrews United Church, 1A Fieldstone Drive, Spruce Grove, at 11AM. Friends are invited to stay after the service for refreshments and reminiscing.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in Beth’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, #144-5241 Calgary Trail, Edmonton, AB, T6H 5G8.
