Jean Sykes

February 22, 1926 – June14, 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Sykes, at the age of 87, who left us on Friday, June 14, 2013, surrounded by her family.

Jean was born in Hull, England, on February 22, 1926, where she lived until she met the love of her life Len, to whom she was married for 68 wonderful years. She left England as a war bride, initially setting up roots in Saskatchewan and finally settling in Alberta.

Jean leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Len, and sons Ray Sykes (Anita), Merv Sykes (Fatima), daughters Maureen Bianchini (Russ), Brenda Fil (Dan) and grandchildren Leah, Marianne (Drew), Dayna, Kevin (Jenn), Jeff (Nicole), Chrisey, Liam and great grandchildren Cadence, Kyan, Tristan, William and Aria, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her grandson Tao, great grandson Ashton, and niece Judy.
