Elizabeth Louise Martin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth Louise Martin, aged 85 years, on December 21, 2022.

Originally from Steady Brook, NL, Elizabeth spent her latter years in Stony Plain, AB. Elizabeth spent her working life as bookkeeper for the family business and later for a major department store. Her most cherished role was mother and nanny. A kind and gentle woman, she was a quiet and soothing presence to her family.

Predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Weldon Martin and her parents, John Noble and Martha Noble; as well as her brothers, David, Bruce, Frank and Malcolm Noble, sister, Bride Pretty. She leaves behind her children, Deborah Flight (Keith), Tim Martin (Beverly), and Cory Martin (Jodi). Grandchildren: Kelli Martin, Kristen Flight, Ryan Martin (Samantha), Stacey Martin, Zachary Martin, and Kennedy Martin. Great grandchildren: Jayde Penton, Hannah Martin-McClellan, and Fitz Martin. Her family are grateful to the caring staff of Good Samaritan Home of Stony Plain these past years. Cremation has been arranged, and the date for a celebration of her beautiful life is to be determined. Arrangements entrusted to Parkland Funeral Services, Stony Plain, AB.
