It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy (Dot) Shaughnessy on March 29, 2017 at the age of 71 years. Dorothy passed away peacefully in her sleep after bravely dealing with multiple illnesses.
Her favourite saying was “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff” and she truly embodied that phrase in her daily life. Her positive attitude and ability to deal quietly with illness and adversity will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years Garrett (Garry), sons Robert (Margaret) and Jason (Zorica), and 8 grandchildren – Sophia, Dylan, Michael, Ryan, Peter, Henry, Richard and Ellie – as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, we know Dot would ask a donation in her memory be made to a charity of your choice. She would also want you to always remember not to sweat the small stuff.
