Dennis and Ann were neighbours to my parents in our childhood home. After my father’s sudden passing, Dennis always kept a watchful eye out for me. Always lending a hand or able to give me a point in the right direction. It was not his void to fill, but he stepped up for me in a way I’ll never be able to repay him for. I can only strive to be a little more like Dennis. Thank you Dennis. My deepest condolences to the Cox Family.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dennis.
For a man of few words, anyone who knew Dennis knew how much he loved his family.
We will keep him in our hearts and remember him fondly. We are grateful for the times spent with Dennis and his family over the years.

Dad, 
 I will always feel  blessed I was able to call you that. It's been nearly two weeks and to know I won't physically hear your laughter breaks my heart.  You always knew which buttons to push with me which would intern make you burst into laughter at the look on my face.Then we would both laugh. To see your big smile when I showed up with your favourite desserts made me feel special. 
On some/most occasions, I would hear "get that thing out of here"! Then you would grin and comply when I was taking photos of you.  I am so happy I was stubborn enough to not listen.  While all my memories are recorded in my heart, it is nice to be able to share them with our family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, showing the laughter and sometimes grimaces in photos of those times. Through them the stories of us are told.  Hearing you refer to your grandchildren as "Hey kid", is so special. Simple gestures meant more to you than big ones. You were always giving and enjoyed our many family get togethers. 
Dad, missing you will never go away, or the hugs and "Love you's" whispered in my ear, with that special hug,  when I left from a visit. 
Remembering you through the eyes of others, while thoughtful stories are told, will gently ease the pain of not being with you.

We were so fortunate to have met Dennis and to have him and Ann as our next door neighbours at Lac Sta Anne.  Gordie and Dennis spent many hours sitting in the sun discussing and trying to solve the world's problems. I am sure they are back chatting away in heaven. I will never forget Dennis for his kindness, humour and friendship to Gordie and will forever be grateful.  My sympathy to Ann and the Cox family. He will be missed 


I already miss our calls during game night. I miss you complaining about poor goalies. I miss talking cars and the ones we let get away(cars).
Friends told me I had the cool dad, never thought about you as cool, just my dad and best friend. You allowed us to do things you knew would go bad and made sure we didn’t get to hurt, just learned from it. You forced us to try harder to be good and still be a decent human. I hope we made you proud. We made some promises that will be kept, no matter what.

Dennis was for years my partner at work and golfing.  I can say we were good friends, and would remain  that way.  We lost touch due to moving. I'm not good with the pen. So I will leave with sorry to hear of your passing. I thought of you many times and that won't change.

I’m so blessed to have known Dennis. He was such a good friend. He had no qualms in telling me when he thought I was going off track but I never felt judged by him.
I love the way he cared for Ann. He was a true knight in shining armour.
He was my fellow Capricorn - nose to the grindstone - gettin’ it done. I completely understood his desire to be at home. Us Cappys can get rooted in place!
I’ll miss his teasing but will always remember the lesson, “pointy end down”.
Although I miss his presence amongst us, he’ll always be close.
Love you, Dennis. Save a place up there for me.

Goodbye Dennis. We love you more than we ever displayed, 
 for your strength and generosity, your kindness and quiet presence behind the scenes. You helped so many people without expecting anything in return and we respect you greatly for that.
Rest in peace and keep your eye on us . I will be calling on you for your wisdom when I need it, as in 'What Would Dennis Do? ' Love  Judy and Erv
