Debra Smith passed away January 19, 2018 at her home in Spruce Grove at the age of 58 years. Debra was born in Vermilion, AB. to Dale and Shirley Fry. After school she attended Lakeland College in Vermilion and received her Secretarial Arts Degree. She moved to Edmonton and shortly after started working for A.G.T. She retired after more than 30 years of service. Debra was an animal lover and avid reader who also loved to go camping.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gary; her sisters Christal (Perry) Malin of Edmonton and Loretta Cooper of Red Deer. She will live forever in the hearts of her 2 nephews Derek (Katie) Cooper of Vermilion and Adam (Melissa) Malin of Edmonton; 2 nieces Aimee (Steve) Cooper of Edmonton and Pamela Malin of Edmonton; great nephews Donavin and Tyvale Cooper and great nieces Kataya and Alyssa Cooper.
Debra was predeceased by her parents Dale and Shirley Fry; her grandparents Louis and Laura Geigle and by her niece Brandie Malin.
A Celebration of Life for Debra will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Sandhills Community Hall, 52032 RR 270, Spruce Grove, AB.
Debra’s greatest passion was that no animal was abused or alone. Memorial donations of volunteering at a local animal shelter or providing them with a meal would be greatly appreciated.
