Clare was born in Hamilton, Ontario on October 18th, 1951 to parents Sydney and Dorothy Royle.
Clare served in the RCMP until he retired from the force in 1994. He was employed by Safeway/Sobeys in 1994 immediately following retiring from the force as a Loss Prevention Manager where he worked until retiring in May of 2023.

He mostly enjoyed what he called “putzing” around the property and being involved in his families’ horse breeding operation, which he operated with wife Reta and stepdaughter Casey. He has a natural affinity with all animals big or small and took great pride in their care and wellbeing.
Clare was predeceased by his parents Sydney and Dorothy, and his niece Heather.
He is survived by his wife Reta; stepdaughters Casey and Tara; stepson Doug (Barb); their children Alise, Cole and Danny; and his siblings who reside in Ontario Mavis (George), Dennis, Bill (Lynn), Brenda (Don), and Bonnie (Guy).
He is also survived by three sons from his first marriage. Ian (Tracey), Kevin (LeeAnn), Todd, and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on June 2nd, 2023 at Parkland Funeral Services in Stony Plain.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to a charity close to your own heart.
