After a valiant fight with cancer Cheryl passed away and was called home. She has reunited with her parents Irene and Roland, her son Jason and beloved dogs Sally and Kita.
She is remembered by: loving husband Jim, daughter Karen, son in law Adam, grandson Colin, sisters Lynda and Donna, brothers Dale and Kevin, beloved nieces, nephews and grand nieces. She will be missed by family and friends.
Cheryl grew up on a farm east of Calgary. She made her home in Stony Plain for over 40 years. She served the community for 30 years as a nurse and after her retirement she continued to serve as an Educational Assistant with the Parkland School Division. She will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will take place at Stony Plain United Church on Tuesday August 10th at 1pm with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the following charities in her honor: Second Chance Animal Rescue Society, the Alberta SPCA or Canadian Cancer Foundation.
