Barbara Marie Oldford

She was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia to the late Jennie (Popwell) and Alex R Mcneil on December 22, 1931.

Barbara is now reunited with her husband Joseph; daughter Joanne; grandson Kenny; step-son Kevin; step-daughters Karen and Kimberly; siblings Donnie, Mary, Laureen (Weenie), Jennie, Annie, Shirley, Helen, and Joan.

She will be lovingly remembered and missed by daughter Lori; son-in-law Tom; granddaughters Jami (Dylan) and Robyn; grandson Derrick (Susan and family); great-grandsons Caleb and Dakota, who always brought the biggest smile to Nans face. Barbara also leaves to mourn brother Frank and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara was strong willed and fiercely independent, moving across the country at 75 years old, where she lived independently until entering hospice care in late August.

Thank you to Westview Health Centre and Homecare for the compassionate care provided to Barbara throughout the years, with special thanks to Westview Hospice that saw her through her final weeks and days. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
