Uncle Ricky married my Aunt Dianne when I was about seven years old, so he has been a part of my life for over 50 years.  He was always kindhearted and I never once saw him lose his temper. I will keep his family in my prayers and know that God will help us all through these days of mourning.

I first met Rick in July 1970.  I was looking for a job and walked in the door and asked if they were hiring.  That started a friendship that lasted from that day on.  I worked side by side with Rick for 37+ years.  I can honestly say I never met a man like him. He was always cheerful, and never seemed to have a problem of any kind.  I'm glad to have known him and to call him my friend.  He will be missed by me and others.

We had the pleasure of meeting Rick Oliver in the summer of 2006 and knew immediately what a kind, descent and honorable man he was.  This realization was only reinforced over and over again in the time since he subsequently passed the torch to us at Tile House.  We are all better off for having known Rick. I met Rick when he was married to my dear friend Adelyn. He was a wonderful husband during their 10 year marriage and I loved him very much. So sorry for the loss. He will be missed.

Uncle Ricky gave me my first job at the Tile House in the summer of 1969 when he opened. I was only 13 and I know I got the better end of that deal. He was one of those rare individuals who always found the good in people. He will be greatly missed.
