Johnnie Wilma (Mama Jo) Heckman, 86, claimed Jesus’ holy covenant on January 5, 2011. A selfless child of God, she was born May 31, 1924 in Centre, Alabama. Mama Jo was predeceased by beloved husband Maurice Heckman; parents Robert and Vandora Guice; siblings Bessie, Estelle, Iva Jo, James, Willard and Robert Jr. (RL). Mama Jo is survived by children/spouses: Carl and Cynthia Heckman, Ronald and Beth Heckman, Mark and Maria Heckman, JoAnna and Roy Jackson Jr.; grandchildren Jennifer, Peter, Kimberley, Andrew, Ashley, Roy III, Taylor; great grandchildren Allie, Parker, Kensley, Ruby, Milla, Ilaria, Lila; sister Imogene Curry; sisters in law Helen Guice, Wilma Guice and Ann Guice; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The few things Mama Jo did for herself rest with her, the multitude she did for others will be celebrated forever. Visitation 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Saturday, January 8, 2011 Horis A.
