Doug was the type of student that you don't find all that often, but when you do it reignites your passion for learning and reminds you why you love academia!  I enjoyed having Doug in my class (and appreciated his quirky sense of humor) and was looking forward to seeing him in our graduate program.  He will be missed, but not forgotten.

You were a good man Doug Tisdall!!!  I have many memories which your Dad shared with me as you were growing up.  Like the early years; when you came home from the hospital, your first steps (and falls), riding your first bike, playing catch in the side yard, joining the peewee football team with your brother.  Time flew by and all of a sudden you were a young man in Junior High school, then came your first girlfriend, High School, your first car, visits to Virginia, tipping a few beers and shooting pool in my basement, political discussions, jokes and laughing at some of the things your Dad and I did as we were growing up, learning the construction business and working with your Dad, entering college and then your graduation.  You will be sorely missed by all of us!!!

High School come and gone but u Doug will always be in my thoughts and prayers! RIP Doug Tisdall I miss u and how u always called me by last name first. I will never forget u and the crazy times u made me laugh! Metallica Saturday was one of my best days! I love u!

Doug was always such a joy to be around. He trained me to wait tables at my first job. All his friends, co-workers and customers lit up when in his presence. I'm terribly sorry for the loss. Our prayers are with the family.

Doug, you will be missed. It's been a long time since ive seen you, but have a lot of memories growing up on Lester road. Your caring personality made the world a better place. Your genuine nature will always be remembered.

I am totally shocked and so saddened to hear this news. I am so sorry this has happened. He was such a funny great spirited loving guy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am so so so sorry.
