Tony Abdallah

Tony Abdallah passed away on November 15, 2022, in Stockton, CA. After 11 months without his loving wife of 61 years, they are together again. Tony, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, is survived by his sons, Anthony (Kim) Abdallah, and Michael (Lisa) Abdallah. He leaves behind his grandchildren Stephen (Sarah) Abdallah, Kathryn (Ryan) Chase, Marc Abdallah, Meg Abdallah, and great granddaughter Olivia Abdallah. He also leaves behind siblings Mabel Thomas, Bob (Marie) Abdallah, Marie (Tony) Yaghi, Evelyn (Ernie) Hamburg, sister-in-law May Abdallah, and brother-in-law Sam Minnetti. Tony was preceded in death by his wife Renee, parents Jousseff and Wahide Abdallah, brother Mike Abdallah, and sister Hind Minnetti.

Tony was born on December 10, 1935, in Serhel, Lebanon. He migrated to Canada in 1957 by ship which took 3 weeks. After marrying Renee, they moved to California in 1961. Tony was self-employed and with his wife, they owned and operated three neighborhood grocery stores for over 25 years. He was a kind and generous man. To this day, Tony was recognized by many of his customers. Some would thank him for giving them credit when they could not afford their groceries and helping them through the hard times. He loved playing cards, walking, talking with neighbors, spending time with his friends and family, but especially the grandchildren. Tony will be missed by family, friends, neighbors, and all those whose lives he touched.

His family would like to thank all of the wonderful people at The Commons on Thornton for their kindness in caring for Tony. Funeral Mass is scheduled at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1515 W. Benjamin Holt Dr., Stockton, CA.
