His passing leaves his parents, brother, three grown children and other loved ones in profound sadness. He left us at just 55 years old, far too young.
Tim was born August 9,1967 in St. Joseph, Missouri. His family moved to Stockton in 1970, where he grew up attending Lincoln Schools and San Joaquin Delta College. His last home was in Alameda, but he had lived and worked in various northern California locations since the 1990s, changing careers several times as he went from manufacturing electronic components to building and marketing desk top computers, selling home mortgages and finally to the wholesale automotive sales field.
As a young boy, Tim learned to love vacations on the Mendocino Coast. He continued to travel there in adulthood, including as recently as December when he spent a weekend at the coast with his father.
Tim is survived by his parents, Craig and Fern (Burleson) Prosser of Stockton, a brother Andrew of Studio City, California, three children, Ian, Austin, and Alexandra, all of Reno, Nevada, and their step-mother Pauline Rivest of Montreal, Canada. He will also be missed by girlfriend Melinda Cardwell of Alameda who visited him daily during his hospitalization.
Tim had many pets during his life and loved them all from the first kitten he smuggled into the house and hid in a bedroom closet to Melinda’s Labrador mix “Ruby,” whom he liked to take for walks on the beach.
He was a life long lover of sports and rooted for all the Bay Area teams, except when the 49ers played his beloved New England Patriots.
Our gratitude goes to the doctors and nurses of Alameda Hospitals and to Vitas Healthcare’s hospice team who treated and cared for Tim with compassion in his final days.
A service in his memory will be held at De Young Shoreline Chapel in Stockton on May 24 at two pm.
