If you know Lola, you know she was the QUEEN of sticky notes. They were literally all over her house, on the window, on the fridge, on her mirrors, the inside of her cabinets, etc. 


I was through old photos & found this gem. If this doesn’t scream Rosita, I don’t know what will!

I was her first grandchild and she made sure everyone knew that. “That’s my grandson,” is what she would always say.

My Lola was my favorite person in the world because no matter what I did; bad or good, small or big, she always looked at me like I was the best thing that ever happened to her. She smiled when I would visit, she smiled when she got to feed me, and she smiled when we performed together. She was my biggest fan and always supported me and encouraged me to just be the best version of myself. I love my Lola and I miss her. 

Dear Lola,

I’m going to miss saying bye to you every morning before I go to work. You’d always laugh at how many bags I have to carry with me. And then you’d always laugh at me when I get home because I would always do a funny dance in front of the TV. I love and miss you, and please watch over us all while you’re up there in heaven! 

Sis/Mare Rose,  68 years have passed since we first met in college and became fast friends.  My most sincere thanks for our beautiful friendship and your 
 overwhelming generosity.  I can only say that as we say goodbye for now,  i promise I will treasure and cherish the happy memories we shared....rest in eternal peace with the Lord my beautiful best friend forever.

Lola’s birthday at one of her favorite buffet restaurants  in Stockton. If you know Lola, you know she was a lover of buffet restaurants. It was her go to! 

Gonna miss that! 

I will never forget our morning trips to McDonalds!!!! You would drive your Cadillac & we would listen to classical piano musics. I would never dare touch anything in your car because I would get scolded. 

You loved McDonalds Sausage McMuffin, coffee with lots of cream and sugar. You knew all of the workers there & they ALL knew you by ROSITA! They would even wipe the table for you when we got there.  Haha. I miss you Lola.

 Thank you for buying me my first ever Tiger rice cooker, Lola. Thank you for raising all of us on Fried rice & spam , torta’s & chocolaté. I will miss laying on the couch watching Filipino teleseryes with you, but I know you’re up there in heaven enjoying unlimited Pepsi, no ice… and food with extra salt. 

I love and miss you terribly! Kiss lolo for me.
