In loving Memory of Randy Tabarez of Stockton, California who passed away at home on January 12, 2024 at the age of 65. Randy was born on January 9, 1959 in Stockton, California to Joe Leon Tabarez of Miles City, Montana and Helen Limon Tabarez of San Pedro, California. Randy was a lifelong resident of Stockton, California.
Randy graduated from Edison High School in 1977 and played football as a wide receiver. He started working at the Port of Stockton in the early 80’s and became a member of the International Longshoremen’s and Warehousemen’s Union of Local 54 in 2015 as a Longshoreman. Randy enjoyed playing the congas, timbales, dominoes, dancing, and listening to his favorite music. He always took pride in keeping his cars clean! He loved his son Randy Tabarez Jr. and daughter Francesca Tabarez. He was blessed with the loves of his life, his grandchildren Nichole, Lalo, Xavier, Kayanna, Adrian, Kalissa, Katrina, Nathaniel, Kristen, Karly, and Antonio. Randy loved spending time with his grandchildren by watching movies and going out to eat as well as watching the Raiders, Lakers, and Dodgers. His loving bond and unbreakable connection with them will be greatly missed. Randy’s kindness, wisdom, humor, unconditional love, and unwavering support will remain in the hearts of his family and many friends always and forever.
Randy is survived by his loving children, Randy Tabarez Jr. (Kim) and Francesca Tabarez (Tony). His siblings Joyce Nakawatase, Ronald Tabarez, Elsa Aguilera (Richard), Paul Tabarez (Mary), and Daniel Tabarez (Aisha), all of Stockton CA; Joe Tabarez (Carmen) of Colorado Springs, CO and 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren with another great-grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his father Joe Tabarez, mother Helen Tabarez, sister Mary Tabarez, and brother Richard Tabarez.
Visitation will be held at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr., Stockton, CA 95219 on February 7, 2024 from 3pm–6pm. Rosary from 6pm-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will start at 10am on February 8, 2024 at St. Linus Catholic Church, 2620 S. B St., Stockton, CA 95206.
