Brother. A word that so many use to decribe a selfless friend.  Whether by blood or by our choosing. Acts of kindlessness and selflessness are the norm for our friend named “Big” Phong.
Our friend has always taken care of us when we were in need of his help. We started out as friends but ended up as Brothers. Thank you “Big” Phong. Happy fishing and we’ll see u later Brother....

I was saddened and shocked to hear about the sudden passing of Tony.  He was a very caring and one-of-a kind individual.  He always had a smile on his face and an interesting story about how he spent his days off.  He was proud of his family and it showed every time he spoke of them.

Tony, you and everyone in your shop always made me feel welcome.  I know I will always feel your caring personality and see your smiling face every time I am in your salon.

I will miss you Tony.

“Are you Vietnamese?...” were the first words You said to me in a French class 22 years ago. We quickly became friends cuz my gut tells me a buff guy that smiles this much and shares his yummy burrito with me must be a Good Man, and you truly were. You had an infectious smile/laugh that makes your eyes twinkle- reminding us to not to sweat the small stuff. Almost Every Talk with You was deep and meaningful about this thing called Life, and I loved it. 

You were a hardworking, ethical, honorable Man whom only speaks the truth- even when the truth hurts, you did not complain; that’s  just how You roll. Phong, I miss you so much it hurts. Thank you for being the amazing YOU. This is not goodbye... I’ll see you later. Gone but never forgotten in my heart. I Love You Bro... RIP. 🙏🏼💫✨💖

Growing up my parents were always at school or work and my brother Phong (aka Tony) watched and took care of us. After school he'd walk to pick me up from school and fed us. We was some spoiled annoying lil brats too, expecially me but he'd never complain about. He basically raised me to the time I waa born til I was in 3rd grade. He moved out but always come by with presents on our b.days and holidays. He was such a good family man & a good friend. He had a special place for his homies, he kept them close as family. Growing up he had family & personal issues and ya was always there for him so thank u guys for being a big part in his life.

Tony I wish I'd had the chance to say thank u for everything u did for me & my sister when u was still here. We appreciate & miss all the things u did for us. Ur the kindest person even tho u like being a jerk to me but i miss that too. Even tho we had different birth parents u never looked or treated us different. I still cant accept the reality that ur gon, but i guess sometimes its easier like that and ill keep u alive in memory. I love u so much & I miss u even more. Til the crossroads <3 :,(

Phong was the nicest friend on earth. He used to live two blocks down from my house and I used to pick him up before we went to Pac Bowl for some drinks and friendly smack-talking with the homies.  Sometimes he would also pick me up in his silver drop top mustang.  He also was awesome at feeding all of us at his house where he taught me how to shuck oysters like a G while he had Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz song “What U Gon Do” in the background.  That song was on repeat, too, lol and it got us hyped up, always.  Love that guy for always taking care of us, protecting us, feeding us, drinking with us and thinking of us on all of our special days like bdays and weddings and even on regular days.  I can see why heaven wanted him back.  He’s such an amazing soul!!! 

Big Phong-
To one of the nicest gentlemen I’ve ever met, I will always remember you for your big heart and all the beers we use to down together. Love and miss you for always.

I cannot express the sadness I feel hearing about the loss of your Husband Tony.  Jo Nails 2 made me feel like family the minute I walked in the door. Tony always knew me by my first name in person and on the phone.  Molly,  I pray for you and your family.

Tony thank you for everything you did for me...making me step out of my comfort zone lol. until we meet again.  I close my eyes and see you fishing for the BIG ONE!!!
