Paula Michele Dickinson Wofford was born in San Jose, CA on December 2, 1964. Paula graduated from Lincoln High School in Stockton, CA and attended San Joaquin Delta College for two years. Paula worked for PG&E as a contractor and permanent employee for the last 18 years. Her last position was as a Senior Technical Assistant Specialist. Paula was also an independent beauty guide for LimeLife by Alcone.
Paula enjoyed many hobbies including crafting and cooking, but her favorite hobby was traveling. Paula’s favorite destinations included Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Cancun. Before Paula fell ill, she had always dreamed of traveling to Scotland where she held land and was named Lady Paula Michele Dickinson Wofford.
Paula was well known for her humor, quick wit, and love of animals. She was wicked smart and could learn anything she set her mind to. Those closest to Paula always felt special because of her thoughtful and generous nature.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband, John Kenneth Wofford Jr. Paula is survived by her mother, Lori Foster; her three sisters: Debbie (David) Curran, Tami (Thomas) Manor and Wendy Grupe. Paula also leaves behind several nieces and nephews: Christina Frisbie, Danielle (Eric) Carr, Beau (Nicole) Ritchie, Nicholas Foster, Michael Ritchie, Tyler (Ashley) Grupe, Davis Grupe, Christopher Curran, Carsten Grupe, Avery Grupe, Hudson Grupe. Paula also leaves behind her six great nieces and nephews: Finn Barbee, Jackson Barbee, Lincoln Barbee, Alexus Ritchie, Quinn Carson, Gray Carson.
A public memorial will be held at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, California on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 12pm.
Paula will be laid to rest next to her husband John at a private graveside service in Palo Alto, CA.
