Michael A. Poe passed away on August 1, 2016. He was 50 years old. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Gus Poe and Liz Asborno-Trainor. He is survived by his sister Christine Robinson (Stewart), and family Don Trainor, Cheryl Mussa (Tony), and Jeff Trainor. He leaves behind his much loved Aunt Joanne Asborno, cousins Linda Priest (Bob), Marty Asborno (Renee), Becky Stockman (Ray), and Andy Asborno and their children, and many beloved friends. Mike was born in California, grew up in Brookhaven, MS and moved back to Stockton in 1986. He graduated from Brookhaven High School and Copiah-Lincoln Junior College. He worked in customer service and retail sales for more than 30 years. For the past 25 years, he worked part-time as an usher for Delta College in Stockton, he served as the President of the Stockton Symphony Alliance. Mike volunteered many hours to the Stockton Symphony Alliance, the United Way Community Grant Program, Lowe’s Hero Program (Chair), Stockton Sports and Recreation, and the Knights of Columbus. Mike’s greatest joy was helping others. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Luke’s Catholic Church at 3847 N. Sutter Street in Stockton followed by the committal at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery at 719 E. Harding Way in Stockton.
