Lena S. Ramirez Entered into rest February 5, 2016 at the age of 87 Born to Castulo and Rosa Santellano in Colton CA, San Bernadino County. Lena came from a family of 9 children, 4 brothers and 4 sisters with her being the youngest. She was raised in Fresno and lived there until she was married. Lena was a hard working woman, who worked the fields alongside her siblings at the age of 9. Later on in life Lena worked for over 35 years in the cannery, having retired in 1992, with the last 5 years working as a supervisor. Lena loved to work in the garden every chance she had. Her love of roses especially. When Lena wasn’t working in the garden, her next passion was her love for the San Francisco Forty-Niners. Her favorite 49er player was Joe Montana, who she referred to as her “Chulo.” Lena could be found on every Sunday during football season cheering her Chulo and the team on. Most recently she had grown a passion for baseball, particularly the San Francisco Giants. She was an avid fan of both teams, win or lose. As her love for her teams were great, it did not compare to the love she had for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were her all, her world.
