Larry Ledesma, 72, passed away on December 19th, 2023 in Lodi, CA. He was born in Los Angeles, California on December 12th, 1951. He later moved to Stockton, CA where he graduated from Edison High School. Larry is survived by his Children- Dominica and Christina and four grandchildren- Alyssa, Vincent, Malina and Ezequiel. He was a beloved brother to
Siblings- Patricia, Virginia, Teresa, Mickey, Jean, Cathy, and Danny. He is preceded in death by his Mother- Rose Lopez Miner and Father- Herculano Ledesma as well as Brothers- Jimmy and Reno.
Larry loved playing basketball, he played in High School as well as a local Filipino league. He also played at Delta College for 2 semesters. At the age of 19 he enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps where he served for 2 years until he was honorably discharged. He resided in Stockton, CA to raise his two daughters. After his time in the service, he worked at Rough and Ready Island, a naval supply depot where he was employed for 25 years until he retired from the company. In 2008 he moved to Lodi, CA to be near his daughter and grandkids. Larry’s family was the most important thing to him. He enjoyed going out to nice dinners and cracking jokes with everyone. He was a huge sports fan, and you could catch him cheering on the LA Lakers, LA Dodgers & LA Rams his sports teams. He enjoyed playing 3 card poker, blackjack & Pai Gow at the casino or with his family. He also enjoyed playing dominos or watching the horse races. He passed down his competitive nature, knowledge of sports and charming whit to his children and grandchildren. He will forever be missed and live on in our hearts.

DeYoung Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Ledesma family. A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 3-6pm with a Rosary at 6pm at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St. Stockton. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 10am on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Cathedral of Annunciation, 400 W Rose St, Stockton. A committal will follow at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
