Kim was born in Stockton Ca. January 4th 1955. She spent her childhood life in Stockton. As an adult she migrated to Oakland where she met Anthony Parrish in the mid 70's. She got married and had 2 daughters Taprina Parrish and Tamequa Parrish. When that marriage ended, in the 80's she met Ray Charles Vinson and from that relationship they had a son, Demoree Vinson. It was at that time she threw herself into the work of helping people where she worked for East Oakland Community Project. She attended Peralta Colleges and got her Associates Degree in Social Work. This is where she met Herb Hatcher 15 years ago, who remained her companion throughout the rest of her life. She worked at East Oakland Community Project (EOCP), a homeless shelter and rehousing organization serving the Bay Area, for which she served 30 years. Although she had various positions of service throughout the years she was most proud to serve as an executive for EOCP. She worked there until the very end. Kim was a lady of great courage, intelligence, and perseverance. Although she was a little stubborn and private when it came to her own troubles, she never hesitated if there was anything she could do to help others. Nurturing, caring, and helping was a way of life for her. Kim leaves behind a brother Michael Dooley and a sister Kathy Dooley. All preceded her in death is her Mother and Father Mrs. Audrey and Mr. Willy Dooley, a brother Lonnel, sisters Angeil, Adrienn and Valrice. She leaves behind 7 grandson's, Tameron Lezah, Trahmari, Trahan, Troy, Tiahje, and Tazari- Zaire. 3 Granddaughters Emeryale,Taylor Sayira. A great-granddaughter Layla Marie Jacobs and a host of nieces nephews cousins families and friends.
