Judy is survived by her 2 children Jake (Gloria) Ortega and Patricia (James) Brice, 2 grandchildren Brian (Karen) Morelli, Toby (Michelle) Morelli, 4 great grandchildren Carson, Brady, Amelia, Vivian, 9 great-great grandchildren, 3 siblings Pricilla Rodriguez, Geraldine Sotelo, Jimmy Lovato.
Judy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years Jacob Ortega, 7 siblings, and 3 grandchildren.
Judy worked at Sears for 20 years as a credit manager. Judy was a charter member at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church where she was a lector for 30 years and a member of the ladies guild. Judy was an avid golfer and was a Captain lifetime status at Van Buske Swenson Golf Course. She was a president at Ed Stewarts American Women’s Auxiliary 11th district.
The family of Judy Ortega would like to thank Meadowood for her care over the last 2 ½ years. In Lieu of Flowers the family request donations be made to San Joaquin Hospice. DeYoung Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Ortega family. All services will be held at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church on Monday, January 29, 2024, with a viewing from 9-10am followed by a rosary at 10am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am followed by a committal at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
