Talented, passionate, courageous, and well-rounded- in a nutshell, these describe the son, brother, father and friend to so many. He was a loved grandson, uncle, nephew and cousin, who was taken way too young.
Joshua (nicknamed Biggie or Jay Biggs) was 19 years old when his life ended suddenly in the early morning of October 12, 2014.
He was the youngest of three, and only son of Bernabe Bravo Aquino, Jr and Erin Aquino. In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his sisters, Ashley Aquino and Alyssa Aquino, his girlfriend, Tesia Upachak, and his two month old daughter, Janessa Aquino.
He played football for so many years, no one can remember a time when he wasn’t. Basketball, dancing, fishing, and playing the tuba in Marching Band were other hobbies he loved. While he didn’t have time to make a big splash or go far, he had time to check off some accomplishments and adventures of his bucket list. He graduated Cesar Chavez High School in 2013. He also had an opportunity to visit the Philippines. He enjoyed seeing the family members and the culture there. He had a big influence on his family and friends. To them, he was loyal, strong, gentle, and beloved.
Josh was an extraordinary person. As Heaven receives a new angel, the world has lost a wonderful being that made us laugh, cry, and feel some type of love, as he showed it in his own way.
Funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 2847 N. Sutter Street in Stockton. Contact DeYoung Shoreline Memorial Chapel for questions.
