

John Weaver passed away at home on September 30th, 2016 at the age of 67. Born in Stockton, John remained a lifelong resident of Stockton and Linden. During the Vietnam War, John served his country honorably in the Navy as a Machinery Repairman Class “A” and received the National Defense Service Medal. In addition to his friendly personality, John was a gifted machinist and worked for CB Hays Company in Linden for 27 years building many farming machines, though John was mostly known for his work on the bean harvester. John also worked with many farmers in the Linden area supporting the farming community. He raised his 2 children Donna and Shawn as a single dad and devoted father from the young age of 26. John had a natural gift to make friends easily and talk to anyone. He loved dancing, fast food, laughing and factoids. He was always a sure win when competing on many topics ranging from music, world history, manufacturing, wars and machinery, to name a few. John was a very special man that instilled great life values in his kids and his daughter Donna is planning to introduce his life advice to corporate America this year. She will publish the John Weaver Life and Work Training manual with all the lessons he instilled in her. John is survied by his 2 children, Donna Weaver in Los Angeles and Shawn Weaver in Modesto. Both of his kids are now successful business owners and very proud and appreciative of their father for all the sacrifices he made over the years to raise them on his own and for the lessons he taught them. A funeral service to celebrate John’s life will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 15th, 2016 at DeYoung Memorial Chapel located at 601 N. California St, Stockton CA. Following the service the family will host a lunch at Angelina’s Restaurant located at 1563 E. Fremont St, Stockton CA.
