Hortensia Tencha Gomez Reyes

Hortensia “Tencha” Gomez Reyes age 84 of Stockton passed away on December 29, 2012. She was born on November 13, 1928 in Brawley, CA. Hortencia was the Housekeeping Supervisor at Plymouth Square for 20 years. She loved music and dancing and enjoyed spending time with her family. Hortencia was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Telesforo V. Reyes, her parents Jose Elizarras Gomez and Maria Gomez Castellon and siblings Ramiro (Tillie) Castellon, Dimas Gomez, Jose Gomez and Dora (Francisco) Soto. She is survived by her children John (Angela) Reyes, Eva (Ali) Moqbel, Carlos (Sandra) Reyes and Maria (Ernesto) Salas; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and sisters Connie (Henry) Lara and Esther (Henry) Varela. Visitation will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 10- 4 pm in the Chapel of Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California St with a Recitation of the Rosary on Sunday at 4:00 pm. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, January 7 at 10:00 am at St. George’s Church, 120 W. 5th St. with committal following at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
