He was born on July 19, 1916 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
to the late Lee Quai Shack and Chin Shee Lee. When Harold
was 3 years old his family moved to Stockton California.
He graduated from Stockton High School in 1936.
On his spare time he enjoyed golfing, using his hands in
carpentry work, and spending time with family.
Throughout his life he worked at Wells Coffee Shop,
Golden Gate Restaurant, Moore Drydock
Shipyard, and New Dinette Café, also at Tillie Lewis
Cannery until his retirement as a crew foreman in 1981.
After retirement, he wanted to continue to be active. He
worked for the City of Stockton for a couple of years.
He enrolled in adult class learning about upholstery and
completed many projects at home. He also took a senior
citizen Aikido martial arts class to physically condition himself.
Harold is survived by his wife, Lila, of 59 years, his children
Kim, Paula, Gilman and Gilford and their spouses Edwin, Stan
and Sanghee, his grandchildren Stephen and his spouse
Connie,Christopher, Ryan, Serena and Aaron. He is also
survived by his sisters Dorothy Wong, Edna Wong,Annabelle
Louie, and Jackie Chun and many nieces and nephews.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Mary
Mah and May Low and brothers Frank,Clinton and Teddy Lee.
Visitation will be held on Friday February 27, 2015 from
5 to 7 PM at DeYoung Memorial Chapel,
601 N. California Street, Stockton, CA 95202. A memorial
service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday
February 28, 2015 at 11 AM at DeYoung Memorial Chapel.
Interment at Park View Memorial Cemetery will immediately follow.
