Guadalupe is survived by her 5 children, Julian (Elena) Galapia, Janet (Glen) Langston, Yogi Brandon, Ray Galapia and Rachel Galapia. Grandmother of Wayne Bunce, Christina Collins, Jeffrey Galapia, Jamie Galapia and Stephanie Ramirez. Great Grandmother to Brandon Bunce, Armando Ramirez and Jagger Collins. Guadalupe was born on 9/12/23 in Granada, Colorado. After moving to Stockton, CA in her late teens she married Julian Q. Galapia who preceded her in death in 2003. Along with her loving sister and best friend, Angela Avila, they worked tirelessly in production at a local cannery for years.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, word puzzles and most of all took great pleasure in spending time with her pet cockatiels. Her children remember her as a kind, loving, generous, spiritual and devoted mother. She encouraged them to follow their faith and pursue their goals and dreams. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Viewing is scheduled for Monday, January 11th from 11am - 3pm at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, with a Rosary at 2pm. Due to COVID-19 and attendance restrictions, anyone wishing to attend should use the outside viewing window. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 12th at 9:30am at Cathedral of Annunciation. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Mass will be restricted to immediate family only. Committal to follow at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. Restriction at the graveside is as follow: only immediate family will be allowed at the grave site while everyone will have to be at their cars. After the Committal everyone will have a chance to come up to the grave site for a final farewell.
