Elena Ruiz Terrazas

Elena R. Terrazas passed away peacefully on April 2, 2017 at the age of 57. She was blessed to have an amazing family and a great supportive husband. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Raul Terrazas, and her loving children Raul Jr. (Mariela), Elena, Roberto, and Enrique, grandchildren Jasmine, Samantha, and Octavio, 4 sisters, 1 brother, and many extended family members. Elena was born on June 18, 1959 in San Juan Chihuahua Mexico. Later in life she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where she found her soul mate Raul. Shortly after dating they were married on August 21, 1982. In 1985 Raul and Elena decided to move to Stockton, CA where they could raise and grow their family. Elena truly loved her family and imparting her values, love of laughter, music, and cooking. They will always remember her as a welcoming person, never selfish, outgoing, always supportive and loving to those she loved. Family gatherings always made her feel complete. She enjoyed music, dancing, and being the life of the party. Elena loved to go gambling with her husband Raul they spent many Saturdays together at the casinos and just enjoying each other's presences. Elena worked at the Waterloo Gun and Bocce Club as a cook for 15 years where she made countless friends that she considered family. She always enjoyed her time to making an impact to help the community. Elena's greatest joy in life was her family and friends they all dearly miss her but are grateful for the countless wonderful memories she left them all with. DeYoung Memorial Chapel has been honored to serve the Terrazas family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm followed by a Rosary at DeYoung Memorial Chapel at 601 N. California St. Stockton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 203 Washington St, Stockton.
