David Lee Selvy

Mr. David Lee Selvy of Stockton, California was born to Leonard Selvy, Sr and Pearl Lee Harrison Selvy on October 18, 1941. David quietly retired from this life on September 27, 2024.

Born in North Little Rock, Arkansas, David graduated from Jones High School and attended Philander Smith College in North Little Rock until joining the U.S. Navy in 1965. When David was in the Navy, he travelled the world while stationed on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk air carrier. After his honorable discharge in 1969, David made his home in California working in a number of industries in the San Francisco/San Jose area. He retired from the US Postal Service in 2004.

Although David never married or had any children, he was a loving uncle to many of his nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Sr and Pearl, an older brother, Leonard Jr, a niece, Cynthia Morgan and a brother-in-law, Leonard Morris Sr. David is survived by three siblings, Doris Morris of Las Vegas, NV, James Selvy (Mary) of Stockton, CA, Walter Selvy of San Diego, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The family is honoring David Lee Selvy’s request to not have a memorial service however, the family would like to express our thanks to our many friends and extended family members for your prayers and expressions of kindness in our hour of bereavement.
