Tone grew up in Oakland CA. He attended Hoover Elementary and Marcus A. Foster Tech High School. Tone earned his GED on April 13, 2007. Tone was very independent. He worked at KFC. He was married to Jewel Hodges for 16 years and they were together for 21 years.
Tone had many talents, he knew how to sew with a sewing machine, he has made pants and jackets. He was a mentor for a men’s class and he was a head cook.
Tone had a big heart; he was always going out of his way for others, if Tone has it he got you. Tone was sweet in his own way. He enjoyed helping people by making money, cutting grass, washing cars and carrying groceries for elders.
Tone was very outgoing, he was never afraid to express how he felt and be straight to the point. He had a sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh by joking around. He loved to rap, play music, watch football and basketball and eat. He loved family gatherings, especially Thanksgiving. He was protective over his family.
At an early age, Tone confessed to Christ. His family was brought up in the church ministry. Tone’s grandfather, Gerald “Pawpaw” Camp, was a great role model. Pawpaw taught Tone how to be a man. In 2016 when Tone came home, he became a member of New Beginnings Deliverance Center. He was an usher and was dedicated to working on whatever needed to be worked on.
