Anne Reed, a long-time resident of the Stockton area, went home to the Lord on May 7, 2013. Born 1930 in Lakes Charles, LA, Anne was a US Air Force veteran, but is best known for Anne’s Day Care. She lovingly cared for the children of many families in Stockton and beyond over a span of 30 years. If your children were left in the care of Anne Reed you could feel comfortable and secure knowing they were in the safe, godly hands of a strong family lady.
Anne was married to Richard Reed, also an Air Force veteran, for 57 years. Their mobile and fruitful union brought forth four beautiful children. Anne was a woman of great character and strength, with a quick wit.
She is survived by her husband Richard Reed, Jr.; children, Terrence Reed (Debrán) of Elk Grove, CA; Chet Reed (Pam) and Kevin Reed (Toni), of Stockton; and Robin Spinks (Gerald) of Los Angeles, CA. She also leaves siblings Norma Harrison of Long Beach; Earlene Stone and Clarence McNeal (Ann), of Detroit, MI; a long line of treasured grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.
