Angie is survived by her son Stephen Guzman, her daughter in law Tina Guzman, her grandchildren Deja Guzman, Serena Guzman, Angelina Hadley, Salvador Alvarez, Isiah and Isaac Lindsey, and Donald Galindo. Her great grandchildren Julian Guzman, Marcello Guzman, Amira Guzman, Aurora Danhoff, and Salvador Alvarez 3. Her sisters Terry Manzo, Joann Manzo and her brother Jessie Manzo. Her step daughter Angel Galindo. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard W. Sell, her father Jesus A. Manzo, her mother Geniva R. Zavala, her stepfather Gabino Zavala, and her sister Yolanda Manzo. As well as many other nieces, nephews, sisters and brother in laws.
Angie was born January 8, 1957 in Oroville, California to Geniva Maes and Jesus Manzo. She graduated from Franklin High School in Stockton, California. She married Richard Wayne Sell, a mental health counselor for San Joaquin County, on May 27, 2000. She began working for San Joaquin County Prevention Services as a counselor in 1988. She had one child, a son Stephen. He remembers her as a kind, family oriented, hard working, mother who encouraged him to pursue his goals.
Angie was accomplished at working with at risk youth and substance abuse. She was a generous and dedicated woman who loved her family tremendously and was passionate about cooking and spending time together with them. She was a dedicated catholic.
Funeral services include a Viewing between 2-5pm and Rosary at 5pm on April 26 at DeYoung Memorial Chapel. A Mass is scheduled on April 27 for 10am at St.Luke’s Church followed by burial at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. A Celebration of Life reception will follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Angie’s life.
