Mrs. Yvonne LaBelle Duke

Yvonne was born in Calhoun, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Franklin Waller. After completing high school, she went on to work for several companies throughout the years, including Southern Bell, Clayton County Public Schools, and Sears & Roebuck. She was a faithful member of Ellenwood Methodist Church for many years. Yvonne had strong faith in Christ and instilled great values into her family. She was a loving wife and mother who will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Minnie Belle and Howard Waller, Yvonne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William H. Duke; daughter, Joni Lee Bartels; and one brother, Ronnie Waller (Jerrie).

She is survived by one son, Howard “Billy” Duke (Becky) of McDonough, GA; two grandsons, James W. Duke of Canton, GA and Daniel R. Duke of Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Ralph Waller (Linda) of Belmont, NC, James Waller (Kaye) of Decatur, AL and Charles Waller (Karen) of Gardendale, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Yvonne on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of her life will immediately follow at 1:00 PM in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
