Winifred H. Black, age 92, of Douglasville, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel at 2pm, with Rev. Mike Wadley officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge.
Mrs. Black retired from Norfolk Southern (Southern Railway after 45 years. she was a member of New Hope UMC all her life. She was a wonderful wife and mother and lived her life with beauty and grace. She is survived by: sons, Richard & Della Black of Douglasville and Jimmy Black of Locust Grove, sister-in-law, Ruth Huey of Conley, niece & nephew, Layne & Mark Lescault as well as several cousins.
She was preceded in death by husband, R. W. Black.
