Billy was born August 25, 1957, in Akron, Ohio. He was born to Mr. William "Bill" R. Boggs and Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" M. Boggs. In his youth, Billy loved to play baseball and he loved to bowl. As a teen he enjoyed attending school and you would always find him listening to Elvis. In 1999, he married Patricia Boggs and was happily married until her death in 2013. Billy was a resident of Hampton, Georgia, where he resided with his beloved mother and brother.
He was preceded in death by his father, William R. Boggs, Sr. and his beloved wife, Patricia Boggs. Billy is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Boggs of Hampton, Georgia; daughter, Becky Smith of St. Petersburg, Florida; siblings, Kenneth Boggs (Lisa) of Hampton, Georgia, Sandra Cloninger (Toney) of Dallas, North Carolina, Karen Fleury (Darryl) of McDonough, Georgia and Edna Rogers (Kelly) of Sharpsburg, Georgia; four nephews; six nieces; four great-nephews; nine great-nieces; several cousins and many friends.
Visitation for Billy will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM in The Heritage Suite at The Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A Celebration of Life for William Raymond Boggs, Jr. will begin at 1:00 PM in The Fairview Suite. Entombment will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
