Wayne Moore, age 66, passed away in Conyers, Georgia, on Friday, October 24, 2014. He was born July 8, 1948, in Marion, Alabama, to the late Loyce and Gladys Moore. Mr. Moore was also predeceased by his daughter Shelly, grandson, Braxton, and sister, Lynn Moore.
Mr. Moore worked for Dyco Electrical Contractors for 40 years. He was a member of IBEW Local 613 and the Marines Corp serving his country in the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Moore; son, Stacey Moore; daughter, Teresa Moore; grandchildren, Brittany Moore, Tyler Moore, and Miranda Moore; brother, Raymond Moore; sisters, Shirley Mitchell, Bonnie Johnston, Brenda Jo Springer, and Charlotte Horton; 10 nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, October 26, at the Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel funeral home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday prior to the service from 12-2pm.
