Thomas Wilton Franklin Sr.

Thomas was a US Navy Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Franklin’s Super Markets for several years. After he sold the market he dealt in Real Estate. He was known as the “Wheeler Dealer”.

He is survived by his wife Jackie; daughters, Tina McDaniel, Susan Clark and Donna Smith; sons, Mark, Jason, and Michael; grandchildren, Thomas Franklin III, Ensley, Bailey, Kyle, Dylan, Preston, Nate, Joey, Bobby, Dale, Kimberly, Lori, Amy, Randall, Daniel, Nicholas, and Alex; and numerous great grandchildren; sister, Betty Massie; and his brother, Dorsey Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys English Franklin and father, Walter B. Franklin; sisters, Lucile Morgan and Louise Martin; brothers, Lewis, Bobby, Walter B Jr., his beloved son, Thomas W. Franklin, Jr. who suffered from multi forms of epilepsy. He cared for Tommy Jr. most of his life until his death on August 26, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at Horis A. Ward – Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA on Tuesday, August 16th at 2:30 pm. Visitation will be held Monday at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm.
