Mr. Paul Price was born March 5, 1930 to the late Doc and Lena Mae Price in Atlanta, Georgia. He was called from labor to rest in our Lord October 28, 2021.
Paul was educated in the Atlanta Public School System. Paul served in the United States Army from 1951-1956. He later attended Chamberlin Vocational Technical School, with a concentration in Television and Radio (Class of 1959), and Federal City College (Class of 1972), both in Washington, D.C. Paul Price was a Prince Hall Mason at H. R. Butler Lodge No. 23.
He went on to work for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier and supervisor for 33 years and retired in 1988.
Paul Price was married to Gwendolyn Price on March 19, 1994. He was proud of his three daughters and son-in-law; Michelle Price, Demetrius Price II, both of Ellenwood, Georgia and Paulette Price Peek (Gary) of Lithonia, Georgia. He also had a stepdaughter, Adrena Johnson and eight grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
Paul enjoyed people, especially his family and church family. He was ordained a Deacon at Tabernacle Baptist Church under the late Bishop Quincy L. Carswell. He later moved his membership to Midway Missionary Baptist Church in 1988, where he continued serving God and God's people under the leadership of Pastor Edward S. Reynolds. At Midway, he also sang in the Men's Choir and was a member of the Men's Ministry. He loved his Pastor and First Lady, Rev. Dr. Judge Penny Brown Reynolds, the entire ministerial team and church family.
He never met a stranger because he loved to talk and enjoyed people. He prayed everyday and night that all the people of the world would have the Lord's covering and faith that God would see them through.
Paul Price will be missed by his family and friends. He leaves a wife, Gwendolyn Price; sister, Mary Lee Stewart; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carmen Price, Maxine Mitchell, Jimmy Mitchell, Vivian Johnson, Gary Mitchell, Betty White, Shirley and Willie Brewton, Willie White, Debra White, and Darrel Fleming; godchildren, Horace N.
