Mike was not only a good friend, he was a brother too me, he always asked me how i was doing in school and told me to keep it up. I miss him so much especially when we used to go canoeing in swan lake. Every time I think about him I tear up. I will see you in the future mike.

Mike was my nephew.  He was always a ray of sunshine for me.  He always had a big smile on his face no matter what and never let you be sad or mad while he was around.  He was a great person and I miss him dearly.  I think about him daily along with my stepdad who we lost just a month and a half before Mike left this earth.  I know I have two angels looking over me and I know I will see them both one day.  R.I.P. Michael Brian Mitchell and Woodrow Horace Simpson.

Mike was my son, and I learned a lot from him. He was a wonderful person and touched everyones heart that he ever came in contact with. He also was the greatest son in the w0rld, always checking on me and keeping me in line. Once making the trip to Nashville twice in one week to visit. I will cherish the good memories of him for ever. Until we meet again R.I.P. my son

Mike was my grandson and I had the pleasure of being around him , his entire 18 years. He was a wonderful grandson and we had so much fun, he brought so much laughter and sunshine into my life. I will never say goodbye, for one day I will see you again. Our hearts are broken into a million pieces but you will still be 
with me everyday. I will talk with Jake and Joe (your brothers , they said today you were the best brother ever and that you were cool.

Michael was my grandson and I loved him more than any words could ever say. He gave me 18 years of happiness and brought sunshine to my life everyday. I am his Maw Maw and there wasn't anything that I wouldn't do for him. I was always so proud of him. my heart is broken into a million pieces but I know I will see him again one day. Michael I will always love you and I will never forget you. I will help watch over your brothers Joe and Jake and your Mom.

As Mike's high school counselor, I had the privilege of getting to know him over the last few years. He was always so polite and appreciative of anything you did to help him. I always enjoyed talking and laughing with him. We will all truly miss him.

Mike was one of a kind, he was always goofing off and laughing and just being a crazy teenager. He was always doing crazy stuff to his cars and in his cars. I only met Mike one time last year at our lake house when he came with Brooke, Trisha Morrow's daughter to a cook-out. He seemed like a very nice guy and he enjoyed riding our jet skis. I know he will be missed by his family and friends. My prayers go out to the family and friends.

I work at Woodland High School in the office.  Mike would come by my office and we would talk about school and what he wanted to do after graduating and talk about his family. I would sometimes have to give him encourgement to get through the rest of the school day. He always told me that his girlfriend kept him straight and I would see them in church together on Sundays. You couldn't help getting attached to Mike with his sweet smile and he was the most well mannered young man that I’ve ever been around. He loved to draw and he would share his art work with me and I have had the chance to witness some of his work! I can hear him now saying,
 “Yes Ma’am, uh yes Ma’am, yes Ma’am”

I got to know Mike through the times he spent with our family. I remember us all going ice skating or the times he came over with Brooke for holidays. I will always remember the times that I got to share with Mike . Especially the time that he went on vacation with with my extended family to railroad camp in South Carolina . Mike's two most favorite things to do there was to go fishing and ride around the camp with Brooke on the golf cart . Mike always had a smile on his face and always responded with "yes sir" or a "no sir" when talking with him . My wife Karen , my daughter Emily , and myself will truly miss him . We offer our prayers and condolences to Mike's family during this time of sorrow .

We were priviledged to get to know Mike through our son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Trish Morrow. He has been in our home with Brooke, Trish, and Scott,on vacation, and family outings. Mike was always so polite and smiling. We enjoyed having him with us at Norfolk Southern Camp last year for vacation. He enjoyed the fishing so much. We have a lot of good memories of Mike and it is heartbreaking to know he is no longer with us. Our prayers are with Mike's family and Trish and family.

I had the honor of knowing Mike through family times with Scott and Trish Morrow. His zest and excitement for life and anything he was doing just radiated from him. I met Mike through my niece Brooke two years ago.  Mike has spent every holiday with our family and he has always been very polite and caring.  He would greet us with a smile and hug. We miss Mike.  I pray God brings comfort and healing to Mike's parents and family as well as my niece and our family.

I knew Mike from my family.  My uncle, Scott, married Trish and her daughter was his girlfriend.  He was one of the sweetest people I knew.  He was always helpful and respectful to everyone.  He always had a smile on his face and was very kind.  I'll never forget the memory when we were in South Carolina we played hide and go seek on the golfcart in the dark.  He was so fun ! Well, thanks for being so kind Mike ! You'll always be in our memories !!! R.I.P.

Remember Mike with us at what we call railroad camp at S.C. last year. I remember him enjoying the fishing there. Also remember Mike at other family outings. Mike was always polite, courteous, a ready smile, a helping hand and a kindred spirit. We will never know why God in his providence calls some home so early in their lives but I am sure God has plans for Mike in glory.

Mike, I only met you a couple of times, and you had a beautiful smile on your face, you are deeply missed by your close family & friends.

I got to know Mike very well over the past two years as he spent time with my family.  I would have the opportunity from time to time to pick him up from his grandparent's or mom's place and drive him over to the house.  It never ceased to amaze me what a fine young man Mike had turned out to be.  Mike always replied with a friendly 'yes sir' or 'no sir', was quick to offer his help and always had that great smile on his face.  Mike you touched me and my family greatly and you will always have a special place in our hearts.  Thank you for coming into our lives.

I knew Michael through Brooke and Trisha Barnett.  He always had a smile on his sweet face...He would play video games with Justin and my son Jonathan.  They thought it was so cool that he took the time to hang out with them.

Mike meant so much to me. He was one of my best friends. We didn't see each other often but when we did it was like there was no time apart. There is not an easy way to describe Mike other than happy. He was one of those people that affects you in the most magical way just by saying hello. He will be missed by so many and forever loved by even more..

A friend you never met but touched!

Me and my family loved Mike and thought of him as part of our family. I will miss his smile, his hugs, I will miss him walking through my door grinning and saying "Hey mom, what's up". He was a wonderful young man, and he will always be in my heart. My prayers for comfort are with Angie and Jack and his entire family that loved him so much.

Mike was a wonderful young man. He and my grandson, Austin were very close friends. Mike always had a smile for me and a big hug. He was so pleasant to have around.
